There are a great many ways to work with the aura.
I came across this active meditation a while ago.
I enjoy doing it outside on a nice day, but it works equally well indoors.
Also, once you have physically done it through once, then it will be much easier for you to visualise the whole process at times when you can’t physically get to do it , but you still need the energy boost or protection.
I have added in a silver layer, to act as a protective layer to the aura.
Ideally you would take longer to do this than here in this video clip – this is just a very simple outline.
You may find some colours require repeating or longer than others, what’s important is that it feels right for you.
